How do I find out what my vinyl records are worth?

Scan or search each record, pick your pressing and set its condition. Vinyl Portfolio shows an estimated value for that pressing in that condition, and adds it to your collection total. Values are estimates from market data, not appraisals.

What decides a record's value?

  • The pressing. Originals, early pressings and limited variants usually sell for more than reissues.
  • Condition. Grading matters more than most people expect. In our sales data a Very Good Plus copy sells for about 80% of a Near Mint copy, and a Very Good copy for about half.
  • Demand. How many collectors want it, and how often it sells.

Where do the prices come from?

Values lead with real sales: what copies of the same pressing sold for, adjusted to your copy's condition. Asking prices on listings count for less, because sellers ask more than buyers pay. When a pressing has too little data, the app says so instead of guessing. Read the full pricing method

Can I track my collection's value over time?

Yes. Your collection's value is charted by week, month and longer ranges, with the change over each period and your most valuable records. Add what you paid and the app shows the difference.
